Surface treatment Dycron coating

Hard chrome plating treatment with excellent wear resistance and anti-seizing properties.

Dykron is a hard chrome plating that uses a mixed catalyst to coat the substrate with a chromium carbide alloy that has a high degree of intermolecular bonding. ● Excellent wear resistance and anti-seizing properties ■ The friction coefficient is reduced by 5 to 6 times compared to hard chrome plating. ■ Ideal for surface treatment of components used under harsh conditions. ■ Effective in reducing the wear amount of the counterpart material. ● Strong adhesion resistant to cracking and peeling ● Excellent erosion resistance ● Easy to grind and polish *For details and examples of applications, please check "Download."

Electrolytic Hard Chrome Plating Dycron Coating Catalog

Electrolytic hard chromium plating that achieves a hardness of HV1000.

Dai-kuron coating is an unconventional chrome plating processed with a unique catalytic bath. Compared to conventional hard chrome plating, it has a harder surface (around HV1000) and adds various features, starting with wear resistance. ■Features■ - Wear Resistance The friction coefficient is very low (5 to 6 times lower than hard chrome plating), resulting in minimal wear. - Burnishing Resistance Even when exposed to high temperatures for long periods, there is little change in structure, and the hardness drop is very small (over HV800 at 400℃). - High Adhesion The occurrence of delamination between the effect layer and the base material, as well as cracking, is minimal, demonstrating excellent adhesion even under thermal shock such as rapid heating and cooling. - High Dimensional Accuracy The treated surface is very hard, allowing for polishing and mirror finishing. - Erosion Resistance It exhibits high protective effects against surface damage in high-speed moving parts such as pumps, turbines, and propellers. ◆For more details, please request a catalog or download it.◆

Surface treatment: Dycron coating (wear resistance, heat resistance, adhesion)

Dykron coating (wear resistance, heat resistance, adhesion, erosion resistance, cavitation resistance, dimensional accuracy)

■Excellent Characteristics 1. Good Wear Resistance Dykron has a hardness of around Vickers hardness HV1000. 2. Strong Adhesion to the Base Material Using a unique mixed catalyst for Dykron coating that has strong adhesion to the material, we have enhanced the adhesion to the base material. As a result, it forms a coating with a high intermolecular bonding force with the base material. There is almost no visible cracking or peeling even when subjected to bending after treatment, which is impossible with ceramic or metal thermal spraying and hard chrome plating. However, it may be affected by repeated bending exceeding several dozen times. 3. Good Heat Resistance By diffusing non-metallic elements into the material and electrically depositing the coating layer, it exhibits excellent performance against heat shock from rapid heating and cooling, and the treated material maintains a hardness of HV800 even at temperatures of 400°C, so its performance is hardly reduced at high temperatures. *It also has properties that make it difficult to experience seizure. 4. High Dimensional Accuracy of the Surface Compared to hard chrome plating, there is less variation in film thickness due to ingenuity in jigs and other tools. Due to its high hardness, it depends on the condition of the surface preparation, but a mirror finish (a smooth surface like a mirror) is also possible. Post-processing such as polishing and grinding is also possible.
